Compassion and empowerment
I'm Elizabeth, a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist, and I provide nutrition therapy for people who want to do the deep and often complex work to heal their relationship to food and body.
In addition to my masters degree in nutrition, I completed additional training in somatic trauma healing with an anti-oppression focus and I am a certified somatic coach. I understand how oppression and trauma can shape our orientation to and experience of food and body. I am a politicized healer, and I believe that learning to listen to and nourish our bodies is important culture-change work.
My style is compassionate and empowering about the challenges and barriers you are experiencing. I will meet you where you are and I won’t try to “fix” you with generic advice or ultimatums. I trust that no one knows your body better than you. I am respectful of your lived experiences and bodily autonomy. We will gently explore the places of doubt, shame, and fear about food and body, and work to build more capacity for internal collaboration, trust, and self-compassion. I want to provide the support and guidance you need to feel confident about the wisdom of your body and create a more easy, intuitive relationship with food.
